Onshore Heavy Haul Services – OT UG Project

Oyu Tolgoi LLC (the ‘Company’) would like to invite all potential suppliers to submit Expression of Interest to provide Onshore Heavy Haul Services.

The Service provider will be required to carry out all of, but not limited to, the following works:

1. Heavy haul transportation services from China port-of-entry or China origin vendors up to OT job site for loads with dimensions in excess of a 40’ iso-container.
2. Load Engineering, route surveys, static analysis, transportation planning, and load securing
3. Preparation/coordination of oversized road permits/licenses, shipping documentation, police escorts, road/route reinforcements (as needed)
4. Port coordination at cargo receipt, bonded transportation through China, and China-Mongolia cross border coordination for load, equipment, and drivers
5. Provision of all equipment required including but not limited to hydraulic jacks, scales, drop-deck / gooseneck trailers, SPMTs, sleepers, shim plates, weighing and/or storage stools/pedestals, and lashing and dunnaging materials to perform the work.

Required resource personnel are:

1. Have affiliate offices and/or agents in the China port-of-entry and China-Mongolia border to coordinate the work. Preference will be given to Enterprises who can maximize Mongolian content, including contracting and managing invoicing via a local Mongolian entity.
2. Ability to prepare shipping and invoicing documentation, and perform contract administration in English
3. Personnel proficient in English, Mongolian and Mandarin Chinese
4. Working experience in holding weekly teleconferences, kickoff meetings, progress meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety shares, and lessons learned with EPC & mining industry clientele
5. Certification and permits to perform heavy haul and out-of-gauge/oversized transportation
6. Reference from previous project clients for this particular type of service

The Company is only seeking Expression of Interest from potential suppliers and makes no representation or promise in relation to procuring work from a supplier or suppliers.

The Company reserves the right to refuse any document(s) which is incomplete or submitted after the specified date. The Company will not be responsible for any costs associated with preparing and submitting an Expression of Interest to the Company. “Oyu Tolgoi” company will contact only the candidates who are qualified / shortlisted for the further process.
