International Multimodal Freight Forwarding Services – OT UG Project

Oyu Tolgoi LLC (the ‘Company’) would like to invite all potential suppliers to submit Expression of Interest to provide International Multimodal Freight Forwarding Services.

The Service provider will be required to carry out all of, but not limited to, the following works:

1. Overseas vendor coordination and retrieval of purchase order materials, including positioning of trucks and sea containers, and cargo handling equipment (as required) to perform the works;
2. Materials consolidation, export packing and bar coding services;
3. Preparation/coordination of export licenses/declarations, certificates of origin, export customs formalities, and shipping documentation such as packing lists, pro forma invoices and contracts of carriage;
4. Book multimodal & general cargo freight up to the China port-of-entry with international road, air and ocean carriers, including US flag-preference carriers for EXIM bank financed cargoes;
5. Coordination of port agents, air cargo handling agents, stevedores and terminal operators during export and China port-of-entry cargo handling
6. Transit warehousing up to and including the China port-of-entry

Required resource personnel are:

1. Have affiliate offices and/or agents overseas in major shipping consolidation centers & ports to services the work. Preference will be given to Enterprises who can maximize Mongolian content, including contracting and managing invoicing via a local Mongolian entity.
2. Online tracking platforms capable of producing reports which allow door-to-door track and trace of shipments
3. Proficient in English and any other language required to perform the works
4. Working experience in holding weekly teleconferences, kickoff meetings, progress meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety shares, and lessons learned with EPC & mining industry clientele
5. Certification (if any)
6. Reference from previous project clients for this particular type of service

The Company is only seeking Expression of Interest from potential suppliers and makes no representation or promise in relation to procuring work from a supplier or suppliers.

The Company reserves the right to refuse any document(s) which is incomplete or submitted after the specified date. The Company will not be responsible for any costs associated with preparing and submitting an Expression of Interest to the Company. “Oyu Tolgoi” company will contact only the candidates who are qualified / shortlisted for the further process.
