Speaker of Parliament Z.Enkhbold visits Oyu Tolgoi

Umnugobi, Oyu Tolgoi – Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament, Z. Enkhbold, visited Oyu Tolgoi on Friday 6 March.

Speaker Enkhbold took a tour of the site’s operations, including the open pit, infrastructure, and the concentrator plant, which recently shipped its one millionth tonne of concentrate.

Speaking from the mine site, Speaker Enkhbold said: “I’ve seen an enormous change at Oyu Tolgoi. Since my last visit in 2010, Oyu Tolgoi has become a steady state mining operation. The open pit and concentrator are up and running and recently shipped the one millionth tonne of concentrate.”

Oyu Tolgoi Chairman, Batsukh Galsan, thanked the Speaker for his visit and said: “We are very honoured for the opportunity to host Speaker Enkhbold at Oyu Tolgoi. Every single member of the Oyu Tolgoi family is focused on delivering a safe and globally competitive copper business that contributes to the prosperity of Mongolia. MP D. Bat-Erdene, Senior Advisor to the Speaker S. Lambaa, CEO of Erdenes Oyu Tolgoi Da. Ganbold, and other officials accompanied the Speaker during his visit to Oyu Tolgoi.
