Oyu Tolgoi assisting police investigation into death of male employee

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (ot.mn) – Oyu Tolgoi is cooperating with a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male employee at site on Saturday.

The thoughts of everyone at Oyu Tolgoi are with the worker’s family at this time. The man’s body was found in a waste area close to the kitchen on Saturday.

A medical team was quickly dispatched but sadly there was nothing that could be done. Night shift kitchen employees were understandably upset and were immediately offered counselling.

We will not be releasing the identity out of respect for the family.
