Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – Oyu Tolgoi LLC organised an essay contest entitled ‘who knows Oyu Tolgoi best?’ for the 2nd time and recently announced its result. The contest continued from 28 October to 28 November for one month period, and 41 college and university students submitted their essays for the contest. B.Buyan-Erdene, 4th year student in the Sociology and Social Care Department of the ‘Ulaanbaatar’ School of the National University of Mongolia, B.Namuun, 3rd year student of International Transportation Management at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, and B.Battur, 3rd year student in the International Relations Department at the ‘Chinggis Khaan’ University took the first 3 places in the contest and were selected as winners. They will visit the Oyu Tolgoi mine and see firsthand the largest development work in Mongolia. In addition, they will also visit the energy center and ‘Demchog’ temple.

B.Namuun, one of the winners of the contest said, “I challenged myself and participated in this contest. I received information about Oyu Tolgoi from TV programmes and websites. I’m very encouraged.” B.Buyan-Erdene, also one of the winners shared his impression and said, “I participated in this contest because I wanted to know more about Oyu Tolgoi creating wealth. I heard it has advanced technology and equipment. I also read from its website that it provides well for the working conditions and safety of its employees. I wanted to visit it.” B.Battur, student and winner, said. “I received information about the company from its website and the information center. Previously, I had negative understanding about Oyu Tolgoi. I researched the information and found out that I had wrong perception.”.
