While Entrée LLC (Entrée Resources LTD) continues to engage the Government of Mongolia to transfer the required licenses to Oyu Tolgoi, the related development in Panel 1 area in Oyu Tolgoi’s underground mine will be paused from June 2025.
Since mining and processing in unlicensed area is prohibited by law, Oyu Tolgoi has made adjustments to its underground mine plan until a mining license is transferred.
In particular:
- Production and development will continue as planned from Panel 0 and Panel 2 in 2025 and 2026.
- The mine plan was temporarily adjusted to prepare the Panel 2 south— which lies outside Entrée LLC license area—for extraction.
- There is no change to 2025 copper production guidance.
- The production ramp-up to reach an annual output of 500,000 tonnes of copper shall remain on track.
Mining from Panel 1, an area within Entrée LLC’s licenses, is essential to realizing the full benefits for all stakeholders.
