The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Trainer Heavy Duty Mechanic in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Operational Safety Training Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The primary focus for the Heavy-Duty Mechanic Trainer is to ensure effective implementation and management of the tradesperson upskilling program for all Oyu Tolgoi LLC mechanical trades people for company capability development.
What the role entails:
- Identify necessary skills for operational maintenance areas and provide through classroom and on-the-job training.
- Develop and implement training coursework specific for heavy duty mechanic trades in line with the international standard and requirements.
- Make lesson plans and determine best instructional methods for upskilling training.
- Facilitate, coordinate and motivate the apprentices during on-the-job training, practical and assessment activities.
- Observe and report trainees’ development progress and program effectiveness.
- Maintain workshop equipment and tools in safe working order.
What you will need for this role
- Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering and/or equivalent education obtained through degrees holding Diplomas from academic school trainings.
- Experience and education in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering related to mobile equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft office training software and relevant office appliances.
- Teaching License or experience in training, assessment, and automotive electrical systems will be advantageous.
