The opportunity

We are looking for One (1)  Scheduler Operations in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Operations – Mine Operations Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.

The purpose of this role is to provide services and support on activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan in a safe and efficient manner.

What the role entails:

  • Schedule operations teams routine task on work management system and adjust with frontline leaders as required based on capacity of teams
  • Reconcile operations teams schedule by referring maintenance and other external teams schedule
  • Schedule add-hoc tasks on work management system as per operation leaders’ request
  • Consolidate draft schedule for review and get approval from superintendent(s) to lock the schedule for a week
  • Distribute locked schedule to related stakeholders
  • Log unscheduled tasks to work management system based on inputs from superintendent(s) and shift report from frontline leaders
  • Actively engage with task owners or frontline leaders to check/confirm task completion on a daily basis
  • Lead weekly scheduling meeting of Mine Operation department /Mining, Drill & Blast, TSF, Mine Support and other external teams or contractors/
  • Initiate continuous improvement ideas of work management process for department and update all related information if changes occurred /operation routine task master list, continuous improvement log sheet, etc/
  • Own reporting of work management process and provide necessary reports to stakeholders as required
  • Own work management process compliance and address/escalate non-compliance or gaps
  • Actively engage with superintendent, frontline leaders or task owners and provide support to ensure efficient, safe and sustainable execution of tasks
  • Create maintenance notification or arrange coordination with external teams or contractors as required
  • Complete any other tasks as needed or as directed by management

What you will need for this role

  • Science, Engineering, Health, Safety, Environment or relevant discipline. Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills and leading a team effectively.
  • Familiar with computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite,
  • Excellent personal time management and attitude – Positive attitude and willingness to take on challenges.
