The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Specialist Business Improvement in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Business Improvement Department based Ulaanbaatar Office and Oyu Tolgoi Site with roster of 50/50.
The purpose of this role is to lead and implement improvement activities, specifically Safe Production System (SPS) deployment of best practices, lead improvement initiatives, and use problem-solving tools to deliver value to the business, while actively adopting new mindsets & behaviour.
What the role entails:
- Supports the deployment of SPS best practices by actively engaging with stakeholders
- Supports the re-design, implementation, automation of business processes, systems and development of reports to embed and sustain long-term benefits of improvement
- Helping to scope, plan and deliver critical improvement projects
- Supports and leads facilitation of problem-solving events, workshops
- Leads the reporting and analysis of the improvement portfolio and interpret results
- Responsible for coordinating the best practice deployment activities to meet the targets
- Maintains and improves Business Improvement core documents, know-how, coach operational and functional leaders in use
- Work as an active member by working in close collaboration with deployment teams
- Being coached and developed as a SME in the area of Business Improvement practices
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or higher degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or relevant field
- Certified in Project management, Lean Six Sigma, Problem-Solving and Power BI skills are advantageous
- 3+ years’ experience in project management or change management, system design
- 5+ years of experience in analytical or improvement roles, preference for some leadership experience
- Able to develop documents, presentations and communicate well in English and Mongolian
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work with people from different backgrounds
