The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Operator Deck in Oyu Tolgoi LLC, Underground Shaft Operations & Logistics department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine with the roster of 14 days on and 14 days off.
The scope of the work includes movement of materils, waste bins, personnel and assiting in shaft slinging, and facilitating to run surface laydown area at the shafts.
What the role entails
- Participating the safety and line up meeting.
- Support loading the shaft conveyance from surface, including: people, materials, and slinging items.
- Equipment’s prestart checks
- Operate material handling equipment’s (Loader, ITC, Telehandler, Telescopic, Forklift, Flatbed truck)
- Support securing materials and spotting for equipment’s
- Support surface slickline operation
- Perform surface mucking
- Workplace inspections and housekeeping.
- Writing JHA’s and track and involving SWP’s with crew.
- Receive directions and understand their work duties and line up for the shift.
- Supporting rigging maintenance
- Ensuring all work conducted in accordance with Site Safety Standards
- Follow instructions of Supervisor and Team Leader Deck
- Other job duties as required and declared by supervisors and Leaders
What you will need for this role
- Permitted Mongolian Driver’s license with classifications of В, C, D and M
- Post-secondary or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates (e.g. apprenticeship or trades certificate) or diplomas from academic or vocational training centres.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an underground environment
- Competent in operation of all material handling equipment
- Competent in rigging and slinging
- Support people to consistently demonstrate HSEC work practices and address non- compliance with team members directly;
- Crane Competent in operation of the men and material delivery
