The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Advisor Permitting in Oyu Tolgoi LLC Legal Department-Permitting based in Ulaanbaatar.
What the role entails
The purpose of this role is to advise and provide services and support on permitting activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
- Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and certificates from government agencies and authorities, and coordinate its process.
- Monitor permits validation & registration and ensure legal obligations that are compliant with requirements and up to date.
- Support to departments on permit and compliance related activities across the business and coordinate compliance issues and the implementation of actions assigned to the department following government audits and inspections.
- Be the point of contact in the department to coordinate and support external audits, inspections and business visits.
- To build and maintain relationships with state and local government stakeholders.
- Support to team on implementation of department vision, mission, and system/process improvements.
- Lead and support to external and internal meetings, forums and workshops.
- To compile and coordinate the process of reports, info, and permit applications to the government agencies in accordance with the laws & requirements.
- Maintaining and monitoring external and internal reports, issue lists and master lists of permitting activities.
- Support to permit registration system operations and improvements.
- Ensure the integrity of the permitting data and follow-up outstanding issues.
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Law, Business Administration, Mining or relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Good English language verbal and written skills
- Good computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
- Ability to work in team.
