The opportunity
We are looking for one ( 1) HR Business Partner in Oyu Tolgoi Underground Mining – Human resources department based at Ulaanbaatar.
The purpose of this role is to lead, plan, organise, train and provide systematic guidance on the implementation and performances of HRBP activities in the functional unit in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the department’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails
- Leading and developing the HR, Training and Communications team supporting the Project
- Providing leaders with advice and support to build, and maintain employee engagement
- Sustaining and enhancing the project culture development program (Xamtdaa)
- Working closely with the EPCM Contractor and works contractor companies to ensure effective human resource management across the project
- Providing employee relations advice to support the achievement of project and business objectives
- Supporting capability development of the project team to deliver the asset
- Translating business requirements into effective HR practices across the project to deliver people solutions aligned to business objectives
What you will need for this role
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required
- 6+ years HR Business Partner experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, high-growth, global organizations
- Significant Human Resource generalist experience or a combination of Human Resource generalist and specialist experience, with a track record of high performance.
- Experience in coaching and influencing leadership teams in a way that tests conventional thinking and challenges the status quo
- Experience in organisational design and implementation of appropriate tools and systems
- Proven record of successfully managing internal and external stakeholders
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Experience leading, developing, and upskilling team members
- HR experience in a major capital projects environment
- Experience managing employee relations
