“Oyu Tolgoi” LLC (the ‘Company’) would like to invite potential and/or experienced suppliers to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) in relation to supply of “Filtration system for concentrator process water treatment”.
[An EOI is only a preliminary step to a formal tender process to understand and identify whether there are potential suppliers in the market that are interested in and capable of satisfying the procurement needs]
SCOPE DESCRIPTION:
Context: OT Concentrator department is implementing a project to reduce the raw water intake from the borefield in the Concentrator plant operations for its conversion for UG ore production by using more plant treated process water for the column concentrate drain-washing. For this purpose, a portable water treatment plant is required to be installed and commissioned for treating the process water to make it qualified for using as the column wash water.
Scope of supply: The supplier will be required to carry out following works, but may not limited to:
- Supply, install and commissioning of a portable water filtration system/mini water treatment plant that can treat 1500-2000 m3 of process water per hour to qualify to OT’s treated water requirements/specifications.
- A comprehensive implementation report with integral attachments, including the following but not limited to:
- A complete set of engineering drawings
- Factory acceptance and site acceptance test reports for the facility
- Special permits to operate the water treatment facility, if required
- Procedures and training to OT personnel for operations and maintenance
- List of critical spare parts and
- Warranty certificate
SCOPE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive experience and proven records in the field of industrial water treatment
- Technical capability to implement a client specific technology, equipment and associated services tailored a for large scale industry and long-term cost efficiency.
- Well qualified and specialized personnel including engineers for drawing, installation, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, chemical, water treatment technology works, and permit specialist, project manager and HSE officer.
Interested and experienced suppliers are invited to submit their EOI and must include/attach, as a minimum, the following documentations / information:
MANDATORY DOCUMENTS:
- State registration certificate (copy)*
- HSE policy & procedures (copy)*
- Business Code of Conduct (copy)*
- Audited Financial statement from last 3 years (copy)*
- Brief introduction of company (copy)*
- Ownership information: Company charter (copy)* and
- Organization structure and introduction of executives
* If latest copies are already uploaded in “Oyu” Supplier Database, please make a note in the submission document(s) and no need to re-submit.
SCOPE SPECIFIC ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS:
The Supplier MUST submit below scope specific documents:
- Datasheet showing detailed specifications of offering mini water treatment plant/water filtration system
- Initial estimated overall price for supply, install and commissioning of the proposed water filtration system/mini water treatment plant.
- Information on relevant experiences
- Information on relevant technical capacity
- Customer reference (at least 2)
- CVs of engineers and technical workforce as per our requirements*
Any interested suppliers to participate in the EOI, must be registered in “Oyu” supplier ddatabase. If you have not registered in “Oyu” database, please register at https://oyu-supplierdatabase.ot.mn/.
EOI documents must be prepared in Mongolian and/or English and must be submitted via “Oyu” Supplier database before 5pm, (Ulaanbaatar time) 04 November 2022.

- The Company is only seeking Expression of Interest from potential suppliers and makes no representation or promise in relation to procuring work from a supplier or suppliers.
- The Company reserves the right to refuse any document(s) which is incomplete or submitted after the specified date & time.
- The Company will not accept any EOIs stored in internet storage or in any other webpages and links.
- The Company will not be responsible for any costs associated with preparing and submitting an Expression of Interest to the Company.
- There will be no Questions and Answers provided during the EOI process.
