Supply of underground electrical consumables

“Oyu Tolgoi” LLC (the ‘Company’) would like to invite all potential experienced suppliers to submit their Expression of Interest in relation to “Supply of Underground electrical consumables”.

The supplier will be required to carry out all of, but not limited to, the following works:

  1. Supply of underground electrical consumables
  2. Associated services
  3. Distribution box
  4. Electrical cables (trailing cable)
  5. Plugs and back to backs (comply with AS 1299:2009)
  6. Starter boxes – Jumbo, Fan and Pump

Please see the relevant specifications and drawings from the Attachment section. Also note that all attachments provided with information purpose only.

The potential suppliers must submit the following documents:

  1. Company introduction (less than 5 pages)
  2. Business registration document and ownership structure including all major shareholders and percentage of ownership
  3. Special licenses, where applicable
  4. Product catalog
  5. Manufacturer and Bidder’s experience (if a Bidder is not manufacturer, supplying of similar products)
  6. Manufacturer’s key customers of underground electrical consumables
  7. Factory information (range of product, quality assurance and quality control, capacity and actual production)
  8. Manufacturer and Bidder’s HSE policy, procedure, manual and implementation
  9. Information for ability to provide continuous improvement
  10. Commitment to develop Local capability and maximize Local content
  11. Key personnel related to this products/services

Please note that manufacturing and assembly of the products in Mongolia and having warehouse in close proximity to OT site will be an advantage to this EOI and Suppliers who expresses interest to manufacture and assembly is required to submit separate letter that explains summary of proposal.

Note: The Company will require any potential Suppliers who will express their interest to this “Expression of Interest” to be either a registered entity in Mongolia or who will be willing to commit to establish a Mongolian registered business or appointing a Mongolian agent.

The Company is only seeking Expression of Interest from potential suppliers and makes no representation or promise in relation to procuring work/service from a supplier or suppliers.

The Company stresses the importance of Mongolian participation in any contract(s) for this scope of work.

The Company reserves the right to refuse any document(s) which is incomplete or submitted after the specified date. The Company will not be responsible for any costs associated with preparing and submitting an Expression of Interest to the Company. “Oyu Tolgoi” company will contact only the candidates who are qualified /shortlisted for the further process.

It is required for interested parties to complete registration process at http://oyutolgoi.achillesapac.com/en/, if not registered in “Oyu Tolgoi” company’s Master Supplier Database.
