Speech: Oyu Tolgoi directly and indirectly impacts many sectors

– Oyu Tolgoi Deputy Director discusses the development of a powerful industrial sector at Mongolian investors’ conference –

The second international investors’ conference of mining and metlurgy or “Metals Mongolia-2013” co-organised by Mongolian Ministry of Mining and mining.mn was held today, 8 November, in Ulaanbaatar.

Oyu Tolgoi LLC actively participates in this type of conferences, playing an important role in the growth of the Mongolian economy by attracting international investors to Mongolia. Oyu Tolgoi is a gold sponsor of Mining and Metals 2013.

Munkhbat Tumur-Ochir, Oyu Tolgoi Deputy Director of Resource Strategy and Innovation spoke at the conference on behalf of the Oyu Tolgoi LLC and presented a speech entitled: The development of a powerful industrial sector.

Munkhbat noted in his speech: “In this time, when it is clear that minerals sector is going to play an important role, not only in Mongolia, but in the global economy in the near future, it is appropriate to pay attention to creating a favourable investment environment. We also need to see the diversification of the economy amongst other industrial sectors.
