Some of the workers that had fallen ill at the Oyu Tolgoi South Camp have recovered and will be returning to work.
Oyu Tolgoi is working closely with government health inspectors after the workers became ill in the last 24 hours.
The South Camp operations continue to operate.
Doctors are at the South Camp assisting the workers. The symptoms being experienced by the workers include diarrhoea. The workers have been isolated from the other members at the South Camp.
When the first of the workers complained of being ill yesterday morning, Oyu Tolgoi responded quickly and provided medical assistance. Extra medical assistance from Ulaanbaatar was sent to the South Camp.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the illness.
The South Camp is about 40kms away from the Oyu Tolgoi main camp. The main camp and all other camps are not affected.
