Aside from supplying a variety of labour safety uniforms ordered by Oyu Tolgoi LLC they have been increasing number of products and upgrading existing equipment.
B.Otgontsetseg, since she had obtained sewing skill, has continuously been working as a seamstress for 24 years on end. She, along with her two friends, got off to a good start in 2005 opening own tailor and clothes repair shop. Since then she has expanded her business and in May 2010 she began cooperating with Oyu Tolgoi LLC. Their first order was sample bags. By producing quality bags and delivering them on time they become a supplier to Oyu Tolgoi LLC.
In addition to expanding operation of tailor shop and generating job placements for many people they become a local taxpayer and have established a Govi Khangain Anduud LLC this April.
Aside from supplying a variety of labour safety uniforms ordered by Oyu Tolgoi LLC they have been increasing number of products and upgrading existing equipment. To keep the employees working on a sustainable basis the company has increased average wages, improved working conditions, and involved employees in social insurance scheme.
The company had joined 'Goviin Shim' programme which is aimed at supporting local businesses, fostering local economic growth and increasing herders’ income generated from the animal husbandry. Govi Khangain Anduud LLC director B.Otgontsetseg said: “Our Company aims to open a sewing material and accessory items store. We had already created 25 new jobs. So now we will be addressing employees’ health and safety issues, and increasing number of employees”. The company has allocated a recreation room and resolved a lunch issue of the employees.
Govi Khangain Anduud Company, located in Dalanzadgad soum, Umnugobi aimag, has thereby been moving forward continuously contributing to the aimag’s development and prosperity. B.Otgontsetseg was selected as the best supplier of April 2011 and of October 2012.
