Energy International LLC is a growing Mongolian energy consultancy

Constructing and developing a large scale mine such as Oyu Tolgoi requires the expertise of many experts when it comes to energy and infrastructure. Oyu Tolgoi has worked with Mongolian company Energy International on numerous energy and infrastructure projects since 2003 and currently has 80 employees engaged at Oyu Tolgoi on a full time basis. Energy International conducts feasibility studies, investment assessments and auditing services to government or private organisations.

A growing amount of experience with Oyu Tolgoi

Since the beginning of Energy Internationals supplier partnership with Oyu Tolgoi they have been providing expert energy consulting across a range of projects critical to our development. These include the building of the new power plant, developing the underground water source and water supply system, as well as water purification and bottling production. Director of Energy International LLC, G.Zandankhuu said: “We are happy to work with Oyu Tolgoi and are proud of the work we have accomplished together. This includes the successful completion of the feasibility study for the erection of 220 KV power transmission poles from Oyu Tolgoi site to Mongolian-Chinese border. There is still much more to achieve  together.”

Health and safety is a priority

“Thanks to our cooperation with Oyu Tolgoi we have been able to gain a number of advantages and learn best practices from many international companies. Notably we have learnt a great deal in terms of health and safety. Safety is a very important organisational culture within mining industry”. Energy International has expanded their business and increased the number of employees. Energy International now employs 120 employees with 80 of these directly engaged at Oyu Tolgoi on full-time basis.
