Barilga Corporation has worked with Oyu Tolgoi since 2006 and is now the primary construction contractor at the Oyu Tolgoi mine site. They also provide catering services and supply construction materials to Oyu Tolgoi. In 2012 the company is building warehouses and the site’s recreational complex as well as contributing to the various construction projects supporting the concentrator.

Mr. Sh.Erdenebat, Vice-President of Barilga Corporation, comments that: “Today there are 350 employees of our company working at Oyu Tolgoi, and the number of our workers has doubled since we started work with Oyu Tolgoi.”
“This increase in employment has many positive outcomes as the spouses and children of our 350 employees also benefit. If we assume that each family has three members on average, the total beneficiaries will be greater than 1000 of our citizens.”
Barilga Corporation’s reputation has grown in line with their continued partnership with Oyu Tolgoi and through this they are achieving and capturing many other opportunities.

Barilga Corporation was recognised as the best contractor in February 2012. They continue to maintain excellent delivery performance within specifications whilst achieving a record of zero safety incidents over three consecutive months.
