In 2010 BBA Mandakh Trade LLC won the Oyu Tolgoi tender for the supply of numerous different types of construction materials.

Growing Mongolian workforce

Since this time they have grown. BBA Mandakh began with five employees, three sellers and two mechanics, but since becoming a supplier to Oyu Tolgoi has added three additional managers to their team.

BBA Mandakh LLC director B.Batmandakh says: “It has been only two years since we started working with Oyu Tolgoi. In this time we have become financially sustainable which enables us to offer high quality products. We have also become strengthened in terms of our service capacity and expanded our number of employees.”

Being the supplier to a major company has helped them gain invaluable experience. “We have learnt many lessons around how to supply materials in a timely manner. Our cooperation with Oyu Tolgoi has improved our reputation among our other  customers in the market,” said B.Batmandakh.

Growth is on the horizon for BBA Mandakh

The company aims to become the official Mongolian distributor for some of the goods they currently import. An additional 12 jobs are planned once they obtain these dealership rights to the local Mongolian market. 

Since the time of their cooperation with Oyu Tolgoi LLC, their standing in the domestic and foreign markets has grown, achieving the confidence of numerous other customers. In addition their employees are improving their English language skills and their experience in dealing with many partners. They have gained a strong reputation for being a punctual supplier of services construction materials.

Each month Oyu Tolgoi recognises our best supplier partners who demonstrate excellence in the products and services that they deliver. BBA Mandakh LLC was recognised as the best small supplier in March 2012.
