– Many participate in 'Mongolia’s Pride' photo and twitter competition –
Oyu Tolgoi mine. Umnugobi, Mongolia – Mongolia is a proud nation. This pride is shown in many ways. Therefore, Oyu Tolgoi recently launched a photo and twitter competition among social media participants entitled “Mongolia’s pride”. In the photo competition, the prize for photo with the most “likes” went to Kh.Battogtokh and B.Batzaya while the most retweeted photograph awards were received by B.Tegshjargal and P.Tuvshinkhuu. The winners took part in Oyu Tolgoi Site Naadam on July 14th and were given a tour and introduction to the mine. Oyu Tolgoi Site Naadam festivities were celebrated in style with local people from Khanbogd, Manlai and Bayan Ovoo soums of Umnugovi aimag participating in the sports events and cultural performances as representatives of their soums. The winner of the photo competition Kh.Battogtokh reflected on the day: “I am proud of my Mongolia whenever I go. Nothing can be more beautiful than sight of Naadam Festival adorned with national flags.” The young winners were delighted by their introduction to the world class mine. The winner of the twitter competition P.Tuvshinkhuu said: “I am very pleased that I saw this great project with my own eyes. Oyu Tolgoi is our future”.
