​Oyu Tolgoi Procurement HSE initiatives – Tree planting

Oyu Tolgoi Procurement team had successfully organized several HSE initiatives in 2016.

This year we have 3 main projects and the first one was “Tree planting” volunteer event on the 21st of May 2017 at UB National Park. We challenged 56 of our UB based suppliers by minimum of 10 trees and 38 of them accepted our challenge. Close to 500 individuals including OT Procurement team members came to plant 1700 trees which are 250 sea buckthorn, 200 elm, 30 aspen, 20 willow and 1200 bushes. We appreciate all participants from 38 companies and Procurement team members for their support to make this event safely and smoothly happen. As part of our social responsibility, together we made a great contribution to the environment.
