At the ХАМТДАА Recognition Award ceremony at Oyu Tolgoi, Rio Tinto’s CE Jean-Sébastien Jacques awarded Oyu Tolgoi – Operations with the Chief Executive Safety Award for 2017, recognizing the significant effort of this business – and the exceptional safety results that have been achieved.
Oyu Tolgoi led all of Rio Tinto’s 60 operational sites and major projects throughout the world in safety. This is an excellent example of Oyu Tolgoi conducting world class safety operations. This success would not be possible without each member of the Oyu Tolgoi family embracing safety.
