Oyu Tolgoi Open Day event has been organized successfully in Dalanzadgad, Umnugovi at Batmunkh Dayan Khan square. Governnor of Umnugovi aimag N.Naranbaatar, Speaker of Umnugovi aimag Kh.Sugir and Oyu Tolgoi Operations Director Tim Eckersley has given a speech to open to the Open Day event. 
During the event, Agreement on Cooperation to Protect Biodiversity was signed by Deputy Governor of Umnugovi aimag S.Munkhbayar and Oyu Tolgoi Operations Director Tim Eckersley. This agreement will help to improve outcome of the Anti-poaching project that has been implemented for the last three years. The 2018 Cooperation Plan for Local Employment was signed by Deputy Governor of Umnugovi aimag Kh.Batbold and Oyu Tolgoi’s People and Organization General Manager Laura Thomas. About 30 supplier companies of Oyu Tolgoi participated in the event and representatives of 2,600 Umnugovi local employees shared their experiences and success stories at Oyu Tolgoi with the attendants. Also three suppliers of Oyu Tolgoi as well as the company itself were awarded as “Best Employer – 2017” award certificates by the Umnugovi province for creating 1,721 jobs in the community.
