We are thrilled to share that Oyu Tolgoi has been honored with “The Best Investor Organization in Education” Award!

At Oyu Tolgoi, we are committed to empowering the next generation of learners, and our purpose is to be a partner in our nations prosperity by creating a world-leading, safe, and sustainable copper business together.

This award reaffirms our belief in the power of education to shape a brighter future. As we implement our refreshed long-term strategy, we will continue to grow our partnership efforts on education and training both on national and regional levels.

Over the last 13 years, we have successfully implemented our Domestic Scholarships, International Scholarships, Youth Development, and Intern Programmes. Since then, 44 students have received Oyu Tolgoi’s International Scholarship and went on to receive master’s degrees in Mining, Engineering, IT, Health, and Environment from top universities in Australia, Canada, and the U.S.

We are more than happy for the 376 students who have received undergraduate degrees in mining and engineering related fields at the top Mongolian Universities under our Domestic Scholarship Programme!

One of the projects to highlight is our “Gerelt Project”. Currently in it’s fourth year, providing reproductive health and wellbeing supports to 33,000 adolescents, parents, and teachers in the ger districts.

We are extremely grateful to the Governor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar and the Metropolitan Education Department for believing in us, acknowledging our combined efforts and contributions, and presenting us with this esteemed recognition.
