– South Gobi company has expanded its workforce and facilities –
Setgeshgui Khoich LLC began to operate a publishing, production and sales service in Dalanzadgad soum in 2007. Initially, the company was only able to print small publications and photos as well as providing computer repair services and sales of accessories. In 2010, the company began to work with Oyu Tolgoi and has now expanded to offer souvenirs and safety signs.
Initially, the company was unregistered and only employed two people. Since 2012, it has expanded, becoming a fully registered company and building a 180 square metre workspace. Today, it employs 16 full time staff and a further 10 contractors. In co-operation with the aimag vocational training centre, it has trained its employees, equipping them with professional skills. The company meets the strict safety regulations of Oyu Tolgoi and emphasises high quality and timely delivery of its products.
By co-operating with an operation as big as Oyu Tolgoi, companies including Setgeshgui Khoich have been able to diversify their products and improve the standards of their work by upgrading equipment and increasing the size of the workforce. Small and medium sized businesses can become stronger and more sustainable by working with large national and international projects like Oyu Tolgoi.
The success of any business depends on a motivated and fairly paid workforce in a comfortable and safe working environment. This year, Setgeshgui Khoich is able to increase the salaries of its workforce.
J.Byalkhambileg, Director of Setgeshgui Khoich said: “Our company is always aiming to build on our existing success and always produce products to meet the needs and wishes of our clients.”
