Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (ot.mn) – Oyu Tolgoi, the major copper and gold mine in the South Gobi, today stated up to 30 employees of a major contractor at the Oyu Tolgoi site have been engaged in negotiations of terms and conditions with their employer.
They were temporarily not working today while these discussions continued, but all employees have now returned to work.
Half of the employees concerned are working on the infrastructure team and half are working on the concentrator.
No Oyu Tolgoi employees were involved.
Nearly 19000 people are working at Oyu Tolgoi and the work schedule is unaffected.
