The Titan 400 Hydroseeder, manufactured in the US, is the largest and most efficient machinery on the market today. This piece of equipment, with price tag of approximately 200 million MNT, is fitted with a 15 tonne tank. The operating principle is very simple – water, seeds, and fertiliser are mixed together in the tank and then sprayed using a pressurised pump into the field to be rehabilitated. With one tank full, this machine can plant, fertilise and water, 2-5 hectares area.
The Titan 400 Hydroseeder can spray up to a 70 metres distance from the tank. This saves on manpower and sprays the seeds and fertiliser in large area within a short period of time. Apart from being high productivity and having the capacity to rehabilitate large areas, the machinery works very effectively on hills and can reach difficult terrain, not normally possible with ordinary equipment. This machinery is widely used in other countries, in the mining sector, for golf courses and urban parklands.
