Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – Oyu Tolgoi LLC carries out its activities in an open and transparent manner and the recently conducted Environment Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) proves this. The ESIA has been disclosed to the public, and the company and the experts have addressed the issues and concerns raised by the citizens.
Oyu Tolgoi has compiled feedback from stakeholders and the local community and posted the comments on their website. Oyu Tolgoi has conducted the ESIA with the aim of assessing potential environmental and social impacts, disseminating social accountability and spearheading responsible corporate management in full compliance with the vision, mission and values of the company.
The ESIA will remain available to the public on the www.ot.mn website, at the Oyu Tolgoi information center in Ulaanbaatar and at our offices in the Umnugobi (Dalanzadgad, Khanbogd, Manlai, Bayan-Ovoo).

Oyu Tolgoi LLC is Mongolia's largest copper and gold mining company and is a strategic partnership between the Government of Mongolia (34 per cent stake), Turquoise Hill Resources (66 per cent) and Rio Tinto. At least 9 out of 10 employees will be Mongolian once the mine is in production and Oyu Tolgoi is investing US$58 million dollars (78 billion MNT) in training and education and an additional US$27 million dollars (36 billion MNT) in the Workforce Employment Project designed to help address the general skills shortage in Mongolia
