'Bayan-Uul' LLC of Dalanzadgad soum of South Gobi province was established in 1993. After its establishment, the company was engaged in the production of construction materials, domestic and international trading. In 2010, they set up the 'Gobi Brand' sewing factory as the mining sector began to develop rapidly. Mines required safety uniforms and equipment. At the time, the company trained about 30 people at its workplace. The company also aimed to support infrastructure creation in the local area by running a quarry and raw material processing operation.

'Gobi brand' sewing factory began to supply Oyu Tolgoi LLC soon after its inception in 2010 and supplies various high quality safety uniforms. It also produces and supplies products that such as tool boxes and umbrellas for the first time in local area. Many of these products previously had to be imported.

'Gobi brand' factory is fully equipped with technology and machinery and has developed a regular supply of raw materials. The company’s employees are involved in various professional skills, business knowledge and safety training. These include courses in sewing and tailoring organised by Oyu Tolgoi’s Business Development Centre in Dalanzadgad,

Training has contributed to the creation of a safety culture in the workplace as well as quality control standards. Today, the company has expanded its operation and created jobs for 20 more people. It is an established and successful company within the provincial sewing industry.

The company actively participates in trade fairs organised by Oyu Tolgoi’s Business Development Centre in order to promote the supplies and expand their customer base. They recently signed a contract to supply work uniforms for CIS Mongolia LLC, one of OT’s biggest suppliers.
'Bayan-Uul' is focused on continuing the sustainable and stable operation of the factory and upgrading the capacity of the quarry.
