Maurita was appointed to the Board of Directors of Oyu Tolgoi in April 2024.
She currently serves as Group Treasurer at Rio Tinto, where she is responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure the health of the company’s balance sheet. In addition to Group Treasury, Maurita also has an oversight responsibility over Rio Tinto’s Group Risk area of expertise.
Before joining Rio Tinto in 2021, Maurita had over a decade of experience at Boeing where she held several senior leadership positions, including Vice President of Investor Relations and divisional Chief Financial Officer roles. Prior to her time at Boeing, she spent almost a decade at General Motors, where she managed the group’s global funding, cash management, and pension investments.
Maurita holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York. Her extensive background in finance and leadership brings valuable expertise to the Oyu Tolgoi Board of Directors.
