Damian Rogers assumed the role of Project Director at Oyu Tolgoi in June 2022. Damian is an experienced project leader and engineer who joined Rio Tinto 16 years ago. He brings extensive experience from large construction and mining services contractors, particularly in underground mining projects. Before his current role, Damian managed strategic planning, engineering design, and construction at the Jadar Lithium project in Serbia, the Resolution Copper project in the United States, the Roughrider Uranium project in Canada, and the first phase of the Oyu Tolgoi project in Mongolia. Prior to joining Rio Tinto, he successfully delivered mining projects and services for various clients in the gold and copper sectors.
