The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Operator Drill in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Surface Operations – Mine Operations department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine with the roster of 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to operate and maintains drills equipment within the functional unit in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails
- Reports status of mins equipment & activities & equipment stoppages & delays
- Ensures quality of data
- Ensures that clear, accurate & timely reports is achieved & maintained
- Ensures the integrity of D&B data to provide a high level of data confidence & accuracy
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to high operational standards & lead by example at all times
- Ensures that all relevant standards, procedures are personally understood, followed & demonstrated
- Effectively apply the relevant Rio Tinto HSE systems & demonstrate expected levels of personal conduct & behaviors
- Ensures that D&B activity is conducted in accordance with RTIO standards & Mine Regulations
- Contribute to the functions of the Open Pit Department through effective communication, cooperation & collaborative behaviors
- Ensure the safety of Drill & Blast team personnel
What you will need for this role
- A discipline relevant to the performs function
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training
- License in operates & maintains heavy equipment
