24 students from the Khanbogd soum, Umnugovi were awarded scholarships as part of our Tripartite agreement with the Khanbogd soum herders and Oyu Tolgoi LLC thus increasing the total Khanbogd scholarship recipients number to 218 during the period of 2010-2017. The scholarships were awarded to Khanbogd resident herders’ children who are starting their Bachelor studies this year and the scholarship requirements were based on the herder family’s location (must a resident of Khanbogd soum) and the student’s GPA.
