Production which is environmentally friendly has become a global standard and “Khanbogd hugjil” is aiming to conduct environmentally friendly activities and a reduction in air pollution through regular checks and repair and maintenance of its vehicles.

'Khanbogd hugjil' LLC from Khanbogd soum of Umnugovi aimag supplies protective shoes, eyeglasses, safety harnesses, lamps and other equipment to Oyu Tolgoi, as well as providing transportation services.

The company first began supplying Oyu Tolgoi’s Ulaanbaatar warehouse in 2012. In the last year, the supplier network has improved and the company has begun to supply goods directly to the mine site’s central warehouse.

The company developed an employee development plan and enrolled their workforce in training organised by Oyu Tolgoi, the Ministry of Finance, and aimag and soum authorities. Each year, 'Khanbogd hugjil' employees now undertake various training in line with their interests and skills.

Director of 'Khanbogd hugjil,' B.Bayarkhuu says: “We have a goal of supplying products meeting Mongolian and international quality standards certified by third-party , auditing organisations. We passed Oyu Tolgoi’s supplier prequalification with a high score of more than 2.5. Our company currently employs 18 people, having created eight new jobs in 2013.
