The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Engineer Site Support IT in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Information Technology – IT Operations department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine site with roster of 2 weeks on and 1 week off.
The purpose of this role is to provide engineering services and support on-site support activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails
- Contributes to IT customer service reputation by maintaining a high level of customer focused service through consistent delivery of professional support
- Attains a good understanding of the operational activities to ensure business impacts are minimized by incidents
- Maintains up to date knowledge of toolsets and technologies required to effectively perform the role
- Supports subject matter experts in providing advice to customers as required
- Suggests & implements improvement ideas based on learnings or observations for better process or customer service
- Responsible for PSP supports
- Attends assigned or directly contacted user calls for technical assistance, requests & information requests in applicable method such as in person, via phone or remotely as following standard procedures & resources
- Ensures user feedbacks provided timely. Also ensures poor responses actioned & informed back to user
- Supports, maintains, installs & configures user account profile including Outlook also computer, printer, YSoft terminal etc. EUS supported hardware
- Escalates timely in case our team needs additional support from other teams or vendors
- Registers EUS team responsible stuffs on MESD Asset in every transition/distribution/return state to have accurate database of asset registry of end users
- Maintains EUS stock including consumables, critical spares as following defined process
- Implement a Change of SS team responsible area and records/maintains respective Change ticket on MESD as per the process defined
- Records/maintains a Problem ticket in case of public incidents, defines root causes of incidents and action on mitigation. Enters Resolution in library of MESD
- Logs all help desk interactions on tickets and ensure user informed on any changes with request and its closure resolution
- Attending/leading projects or assigned tasks planned Plan on a Page of IT EUS Team and other projects involving EUS team
- Ensures PCL or QRG library etc. other knowledge sharing resources kept up-to-date and routine trackers are performed within declared timeframe
- Engages with IS&T and vendors in fixing problems related to Hardware or EUS function area
What you will need for this role
- Bachelor degree and above in Information Technology or relevant discipline
- 2 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training
- Excellent Mongolian and English, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service ethos/ skills
- Desktop service proficiency, finding root causes, analyzing data, troubleshooting skill
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills such as creative thinking, productivity and collaboration
