'Uran tusul' LLC was founded in 2003 and works as a main and sub- contractor in utilities management, construction design and construction services. They also supply steel fencing, sandwich panels, employee ID cards, tire change tools for heavy machinery, steel abrasives, revolving glass doors for office buildings, automatic doors for warehouses and spare parts. They also provide assembly and installation services.
The company became an Oyu Tolgoi supplier in 2010, providing occupational safety products. Since 2012, they also began to provide assembly services.
Staff from 'Uran tusul' supply and assemble various glass doors for Oyu Tolgoi. Since they began this work they have created four new jobs. This service is the first of its type in Mongolia, with the supply of glass doors meeting European and international standards. They are also working to obtain licensing agreements to import high quality glass facades and smart doors.
Glass products can break or crack easily during transportation so new standards have been introduced including better packaging and transport.
The company’s staff have been able to develop their skills and abilities since working with Oyu Tolgoi, says D.Ochirkhuyag, manager of 'Uran tusul' LLC: “We have learned many things, including undertaking a lot of safety training. Today we implement safety measures even in our Ulaanbaatar office. We have also learned time management skills and how to undertake hazard assessments before we start any work.”
The company was awarded with Oyu Tolgoi LLC’s Supplier of the Month award for September.
