The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Technician Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – UG Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and ensure the reliability of underground mine electrical and instrumentation equipment, thereby enabling the operation department to achieve normal operation and meet planned targets.
What the role entails:
- Performs maintenance on Underground fixed plant and mining development electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with PLC, control systems, and instrumentation to identify faulty components and implement repairs.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime.
- Identifies defects and provides feedback on asset performance and health as per the Work Management Process and SAP system, provides feedback, and completes work orders and SWPs.
- Supports the defect elimination process and contributes to the work management analysis, asset health inspection, and maintenance.
- Ensures work management activities are undertaken in line with SAP work orders/job instructions.
- Support commissioning during various phases of the underground project.
- Follows all safety procedures while executing day-to-day activities.
- Provide visible support to the supervisor’s decisions, express opinions appropriately, and creatively initiate alternatives.
- Ensure all installations are done according to the C2 standard.
- Ensure follow the C1 Isolation standard.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations regarding electrical systems.
What you will need for this role
- Electrical or Instrumentation technician certificates or diplomas from college or university, and field experience.
- At least 3 years of electrical maintenance experience, or otherwise significant practical experience and on-the-job training.
- Read complex electrical schematics and perform troubleshooting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have PLC and instrumentation maintenance experience
