The opportunity
We are looking for 4 (four) Technician Condition Monitoring in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Mobile Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The Condition Monitoring Technician is responsible for safely collecting Diesel emissions, NDT and cabin seal integrity data to ensure adherence to the OTUG Diesel Particulate Management Procedure.
What the role entails:
- Collecting Diesel engine emissions data using specialty exhaust measuring tooling
- Collecting operator’s cabin integrity data using ultrasonic leak detection tooling
- Following all relevant rules, regulations, and procedures relating to OT UG Mobile Equipment Maintenance.
- Support any maintenance tactic development work and other critical projects
- Raising notifications for repair and investigative actions in the OT CMMS (SAP).
- Understanding of NDT tools and technologies
- Escalate any safety concerns and major changes in equipment condition to the team supervisor.
- Ensures work management activities are undertaken in line with work order / job instructions
- Carry out condition monitoring tools and operate them properly and carefully
What you will need for this role
- Secondary or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates or diplomas from academic or vocational high school trainings.
- Required: Vocational training in a mechanical trade (e.g. Mechanic, Metalworker, Welder or similar).
- Desirable: Heavy mobile vehicle repair qualification.
- Must be trained by Nondestructive testing level 1 or to be renewed within 3 months
- Must be trained by Nondestructive testing level 2 or to be renewed within 6 months
- Experience working in an underground or other mining environment will be highly regarded.
