The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Team Leader Maintenance in Oyu Tolgoi LLC, Surface operations – Mine Maintenance department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine with the roster of 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide frontline leadership as leading, planning, managing and advising on effective implementation and performance of functional unit operation in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the department’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails
- Share complete hand over information for shift change
- Assign scheduled and unscheduled jobs properly
- Provide safety information and instruction, additional information if required for specific tasks at the prestart
- Control the work process on the shop floor during the shift and provide support, advice as when required
- Monitor the safety of work area and stop the work at any unsafe condition and report to supervisor for necessary action
- Control and advice for maintainers’ work area risk assessment and work permits
- Support the supervisor and expatriate experts
- Work liaises with other support teams
- Share detail information of shift work completion at the end of each shift
- Act the role of supervisor when required
- Create work notification, parts and tool ordering properly using necessary system including SAP and RTBS for work preparation
What you will need for this role
- Post-secondary or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates (e.g. apprenticeship or trades certificate) or diplomas from academic or vocational training centres.
- Maintenance Service, Engineering or relevant discipline is preferable.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- An ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Develop an awareness of your values, strengths, and development areas through feedback and reflection.
