The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Surveyor in Mine Technical Services department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine site with roster 14 days on and 14 days off.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide services and support on activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails
- Perform surveys duties related to open pit mine & surface operations.
- Liaise with operates geologists, engineers & production staff.
- Assist in develops a safety culture whilst ensures that all work undertaken in areas of responsibility comply with exists safety legislation & is in full compliance with applicable HSE standards.
- Communicate with plans engineers, open pit operations team leaders, shovel & dozers operators to achieve common mine production goals
- Provide field feedback to the mine plans engineers department
- Maintains the open pit mine survey database with current designs & activity changes due to mine progression
- Maintains waste dump, stockpile progression, TSF constrcution & provide feedback to the mine plans group
- In-field implementation of production blast-hole design patterns for drills at various locations in the pit as required basis
- In-field implementation of ore/waste boundaries (digs limits) for ore control as required basis
- Support mine construction activities as required
- Conduct photogrammeter by Drone (RPAS) and analysis the result. Update the data of survey map”
- Participate actively in improvement work on survey instruments
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- A discipline relevant to the performs function.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Have oral and written English skills.
- Have excellent communication skills
