The opportunity
We are looking for one ( 1) Supervisor Low Voltage Electrical in Electrical Services department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine site with roster 14 days on and 14 days off.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide frontline leadership and ensures the effective and consistent delivery of services and support on electrical activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the department’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails
- Manages and supervises trade employees of the responsible area in maintenance activities.
- Directly responsible for his/her team performance.
- Allocates maintenance coverage for breakdowns.
- Resolves on the job issues (with regards to planned maintenance activities, maintenance shutdowns, etc.)
- Monitors work practices & adherence to safety procedures to Ensures safety of employees working in the area.
- Coach and Lead team including contractors to understand and comply with all HSE procedure’s relevant to their roles, i.e. timely reporting of Incidents and injuries, CRM Standards, Life Saving Rules, Fitness for Work etc.
- Manages own and Team Leave and absenteeism to ensure business needs are complied with.
- Complete scheduled and assigned tasks, meeting time, cost and quality expectations of the leader and the business.
- Visibly demonstrates support for direct leader’s decisions or offers constructive alternatives/feedback in the proper forums.
- Provides coverage for leadership gap when appointed.
- The above responsibilities are also required to be performed during the night shift.
What you will need for this role
- Degree, certification or diploma from university or vocational school in Electrical engineering
- A background in renewable energy or similar specialization is an advantage.
- At least 5 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training
- Ability to communicate effectively in Mongolian and English (intermediate or above level)
