The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Supervisor Load and Haul Maintenance in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Mobile Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The primary purpose of this role is to supervise and support the team in Load and Haul Maintenance to deliver a zero-harm environment, increase the availability and reliability of the Road train fleet in line with the objectives and plans of the Mobile Maintenance and Mining Departments. This is achieved through the application and monitoring of maintenance systems and processes.
What the role entails:
- Provide a safe working environment for the Load and Haul Maintenance team and demonstrate commitment through personal behaviors.
- Complete targeted monthly CRM interactions.
- Report all incidents following site incident response procedures and conduct incident investigations using Fishbone and RCA methods where appropriate.
- Manage actions and hazards recorded in Enablon for your output team.
- Ensure team members and contractors complete pre-task hazard assessments and permits as required.
- Ensure the Contractor Management System is followed for all contractors, ensuring they have the required skills and training for safe task performance.
- Promote the use of the Management of Change process for changes within the area of accountability.
- Improve the Maintenance team’s breadth, provide opportunities for collaboration across OT, and motivate the team to support organizational expectations.
- Assess each team member’s performance, providing verbal and written feedback on their performance and behavior.
- Support and manage contractor contracts appropriately and follow up on any issues.
- Participate and lead in improvement teams and cost reduction initiatives as required.
- Utilize RCA, Fish bone, and other methods where necessary to ensure a thorough understanding of all major unplanned equipment failures.
- Undertake project work supporting operational readiness and engineering design reviews for upcoming fleet and facilities.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities as the Road train fleet expand.
What you will need for this role
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Maintenance Engineers or experience trade qualifications and experience in a mining maintenance enviroment.
- At least 3 years relevant leadership experience in a mining enviroment.
- Team leading, effective communication and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Outlook and Enablon.
- Proficient with written and speaking english.
