The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Supervisor Condition Monitoring in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Mobile Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
To lead and manage the Condition Monitoring team in delivering proactive asset health strategies, ensuring compliance with Oyu Tolgoi’s safety standards while minimizing unplanned downtime. The role focuses on leveraging advanced diagnostics, data analysis, and predictive technologies to optimize equipment reliability, drive continuous improvement, and align condition monitoring practices with organizational goals for operational excellence and sustainability.
What the role entails:
- Supervise and guide CM Technicians in their daily tasks and activities.
- Plan, prioritize, and delegate condition monitoring and workshop repair tasks, such as inspections, data collection, and equipment diagnostics.
- Providing recommended actions to the execution team to ensure continued safe, reliable, and cost-effective mobile asset performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring to enhance team members’ skills and professional development.
- Manage the work orders and notifications for repair and investigative actions in the CMMS (SAP).
- Prepare and submit reports summarizing the condition monitoring and workshop repair activities, findings, and follow-ups.
- Communicate key trends, risks, and issues to higher management, reliability engineers, and maintenance teams.
- Act as the point of contact for escalating technical or operational issues beyond the technicians’ scope.
- Provide training and guidance to CM Technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge in condition monitoring techniques.
- Identify opportunities to improve CM processes, tools, and workflows.
- Ensure that all condition monitoring activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
What you will need for this role
- Post-secondary or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates (e.g. apprenticeship or trades certificate) or diplomas from academic or vocational training centres.
- Oil Analysis qualifications at ICML MLA Level II or equivalent
- Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Thermography and/or Eddy Current Testing Qualifications
- Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Office suite
- Ability to speak, read and write English at a functional level is a requirement.
