The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Superintendent UG Production in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – UG Operations Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
This is a key role within the Owner’s team with the responsibility for ensuring the Production Mining team is set up to achieve the strategic objectives:
- Build a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace
- Safe and Sustainable ramp-up to deliver production targets and enable future growth
- Optimize the value chain to increase productivity and profitability
What the role entails:
- Improving HSE and Risk maturity to drive safety and wellbeing across:
- Leadership and engagement (LiF)
- Risk management
- Work planning and execution
- Learning and improvement
- Driving a culture of performance and improvement across their team, including contracting partners. Holding team members to account
What you will need for this role
- Engineering qualification and or formal Mine management qualifications highly regarded
- Quality assurance and continuous improvement skills (LEAN, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.)
- 10+ years’ experience in underground mines (ideally block caving or sub-level caving) managing development, production or construction related activities.
- Minimum of 2 years in leadership roles
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of a team,
- Well-developed contract management skills and commercial experience
