The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Superintendent UG E&I Maintenance in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Electrical & Instrumentation Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The incumbent works to deliver these mission and vision, together with all members of the company, while supporting the UG Operations.
What the role entails:
- Leading the team to support with electrical maintenance on UG & Surface Material Handling Systems, various UG fixed plant equipment and UG Electrical reticulation systems.
- Identifies defects and provide feedback on asset performance and health via the Rio Tinto Business Solution (RTBS), raising notifications and competing work orders, monthly WM KPI
- Lead the electrical team involved with long- and short-term electrical development design and scoping to perform within budget
- Ensures work management activities are undertaken in line with SAP work order/job instructions, to implement and meet KPI’s
- Ensure Shutdown management processes are adhered to as per Rio Tinto Asset management standards.
- Support all construction, commissioning and maintenance activities during various phases of the underground project.
- Provide electrical support to underground mining operations, equipment and other teams involved.
- Lead the MOC process to safely and effectively support all electrical facilities for HV / LV cables, power distribution networks, switching, electrical troubleshooting and mining support underground. This includes planned and unplanned task as needed.
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline is preferable.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and following prescribed safe work practices
- Written and verbal elementary communication skills in English
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including SAP and Deswik.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety (FS) and certification in FS training will be an added benefit.
- Driving License B
