 The opportunity

We are looking for One (1) Superintendent Catering & Food Safety in Oyu Tolgoi LLCSite Infrastructure and Services – Camp and Site Services Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.

 The purpose of this role is to provide support day to day activitity for Contract Partner as well as food safety and making sure we provide good quality of food and continues improvement of daily meals including packed meals. Meal service acitivities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures, the most importantly State agenices including local health department requirements of Mongolian food safety regulation, any noncompliance should report directly to your OT leader, to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.

What the role entails:

  • Should be able to conduct kitchen audits to ensure that the contractors are compliant to the standards set by the Oyu Tolgoi Project Management & various State Inspection Agencies are followed.
  • Responsible for the execution & follow up of audit recommendations.
  • Responsible for ensuring the proper storage of ingredients & finished products at right temperatures.
  • Should be able to monitor the personnel & workplace hygiene, safety measures & quality control are followed.
  • Assist creates & maintains the reports & other records related to the caters service providers performance.
  • To assist organizing of Special Event Catering, VIP Caters & any other special Food & Beverage requirements needed by different departments.
  • Should be able to help in the preparation of various menus used in all the camps to suit the tastes & physical requirements of the various demographic groups on site.
  • Responsible for checks & improves Quality Control Procedures in the kitchens, from the raw material stage through to the finished product
  • Should be able to assist in modifying existing processes & develops new ones.
  • Responsible for interacting action with other departments in regard to fulfil their food & beverages needs & maintaining other technical requirements by the food production areas.
  • Prepare and over to back-to-back with any relevant reports, data or supporting correspondence.
  • Dailly/Weekly/Monthly report to leader
  • Delegated Management of Department
  • Ensure incidents are reported & investigated – & that follow up occurs
  • Contribute to developing & managing the Food Safety area budget                                                                                                                                                

What you will need for this role 

  • Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
