The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Student Intern in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Mining – Mine Coordination Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off. 3 months internship programme.
This internship programme is intended for high-performing students who wants to understand how world class mining business operates while gaining a first-hand experience of corporate culture. Interning for the Education Support team will provide great exposure to internal activities in one of the most dynamic and best performing units in the business. This opportunity will also enable the intern student to develop their interpersonal skills, teamwork and potentially help them to discover their career pathways and future aspirations.
What the role entails:
- Assist in creating and maintaining UG Integrated Shift Schedules, Production Shift Schedules, and Weekly Mining Schedules under direct supervision
- Working in accordance with Oyu Tolgoi Values
- Help develop supporting documentation, detailed work plans, and procedural guidelines to enable accurate completion of scheduled tasks
- Support in generating and maintaining daily to weekly timeframe tracking and compliance information
- Participate in underground inspections to observe development and production mining activities, learn safety protocols, and understand plan compliance
- Contribute to team initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the scope of the scheduling team
- Help document and maintain scheduling guidelines and work procedures to support knowledge sharing within the team
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent education being obtained through academic college or universities
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mining, Metallurgical, Industrial, Process)
- GPA must be 3.2 or higher (on 4.0 scale)
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work as a team member
- Good verbal and written skills in English will be advantage
