The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Student Intern in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Site Infrastructure and Services – Camp and Site Services Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off and the Ulaanbaatar office with 5 days on and 2 days off. 3 months internship programme.
This internship programme is intended for high-performing students who wants to understand how world class mining business operates while gaining a first-hand experience of corporate culture. Interning for the Education Support team will provide great exposure to internal activities in one of the most dynamic and best performing units in the business. This opportunity will also enable the intern student to develop their interpersonal skills, teamwork and potentially help them to discover their career pathways and future aspirations.
What the role entails:
- Monitoring the movement data of all vehicles on the FMS system, collecting and processing the data
- Identifying the procedure breaches and reporting incidents, preparation of relevant reports and statistics.
- Assist in daily and weekly utilization analysis and perform production analysis.
- System data entry and review of passenger flow and utilization of passenger fleet and utility fleet.
- Basing on GPS data perform and review schedule and route planning.
- Conduct utilization calculation.
- Assist in business improvement projects.
- Exercise high business ethics and skillset.
- Work in accordance to relevant HSE standards, promote positive behaviours and actively engage in safety practices.
- Tend to overall team safe and secure work environment, identify possible risks, control and mitigate the risks.
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate, equivalent, or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from accredited colleges or universities, or currently pursuing such a degree. A background in Transport Management or Mining Management is preferred.
- At least 3 years relevant study, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Knowledge of Power BI and/or Tableu systems. Ability to work on Microsoft Excel and MS Access.
