The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Specialist Planning in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Surface Operations – Concentrator Maintenance department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 50/50.
The purpose of this role is to implement and monitors the application of the Manage Physical Assets (MPA) process and to lead, plan, organise, and provide systematic guidance on the implementation and performances of the immediate team within the functional unit consistently in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the operation’s objective and the targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Leadership role to meet key KPI objectives for the concentrator plant equipment reliability based on effective professional support to the maintenance team.
- Champion a long-term Maintenance Strategy & Maintenance philosophy to achieve the sustained maximum possible plant availability for the minimum capital expenditure
- Ensure the Preventive maintenance program is effectively applied and updated to reflect maintenance requirements
- To support the effective application and compliance of systems and process
- Audit & review system Master Data, to maintain system integrity
- Create and maintain Maintenance budgets through the use of ZBB (zero based budgeting) and other processes
- Ensure planned routine maintenance non-routine maintenance, approved modifications and capital works are scheduled to be undertaken with minimum disruption to the overall operations
- Responsible for conducting audit on maintenance & work practices, assessing maintenance or planning groups work practices, delivering improvements via coaching and/or process implementation
- To provide coaching and support to users of the asset management process and systems
- To initiate or support for creating various reports and metrics for work management performance and efficiency
- Ensure planner and scheduler roles are followed and goals and expectations are understood
- Responsible for ensuring planners have the skills to fulfil their role and arrange or provide training where required
- Liaise with Procurement, Finance and Operations teams regarding requirements and process improvement
- Sustain a positive business-related relationship with suppliers or OEM’s
- To complete or support team in delivering additional tasks or assignments as assigned by leaders
- Support the implementation of HSE related initiatives where required
- Demonstrate a proactive personal HSE commitment & general leadership across the team & generally in the business
- Is responsible for work unit training, safety compliance & departmental schedules and productivity
- Actively promote, champion & adapt a safety and leadership culture at OT leading by example
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience or substantial practical knowledge gained through on-the-job training.
